The pictures represent what I believe is a completely new way of looking at Gröna Lund. Perhaps it's something like the way visitors feel at the end of a day spent in the park, their senses spinning after so many strong impressions, and perhaps a little dizzy from going on the roller-coasters; tired and happy, and taking home with them a heady mix of memories, sights, sounds and colours.

The foreword is in French and English (translation Graham Bowers).

From the foreword

All of these elements are looked after, indeed cosseted, by a team of gardeners and park-keepers whose work in keeping this amusement park so attractive and nourishing to the eye is at the centre of this book. Embracing the rhythm of the seasons, and doing all they can to adapt what the seasons allow to the demanding requirements of the commercial activities of Gröna Lund, the photographs follow them at work through the spring and summer, caring for perennials, and maintaining the shrubs and trees and the few areas given over to grass. (...)
