Djurgården, i Kungens park
images-3.png

Djurgården, which once upon a time was the royal deer park in Stockholm, is today the world's first national city park. It forms a green oasis just across the water from the city centre. I spent a season working in the park as a gardener, and had my Polaroid camera with me every day.

Polaroid photography provides unique, small-format images without a negative, limited to a single original photograph. The book "In the King's Park" presents a selection of motifs that were caught in an instant.

The book contains a foreword by the Swedish writer Per Wästberg (member of the Swedish Academy) and a presentation by Laurent Denimal (texts in Swedish, French, English and German).

It is designed by Johannes Molin and edited by Carlsson Bokförlag in Stockholm.

Financial support from the King Gustaf VI Adolf's fund for Swedish Culture made publication of this book possible.

Tommy Arvidson wrote about the book on his blog "Om fotoboken".
