Gardening
I graduated from the College of Biodynamic Gardening at Skillebyholm, Järna, in 2013.
I have been working as a gardener since 2005 in different parks, gardens and farms in Stockholm, Södertälje and Järna.
Millesgården
Millesgården is an art museum and sculpture garden, located on the island of Lidingö, outside Stockholm. It is located in the grounds of the former home of Swedish sculptor Carl Milles (1875-1955).
I worked here during the seasons 2005-2008, and my tasks were: care and maintenance of the horticultural areas and stone surfaces, raking gravel paths and cleaning, repair of subsidence in paved walkways, complete renovation of a wooden facade on the artist's home. Responsible for the fountain: preparation and care before and after the season, operation during the season. Responsible for studio garden and the enclosed hot compost and garden compost. Care of the hive and making honey.
The photographs presented in the photo book In the Sculptor's Park, Millesgården (Carlsson, Stockholm 2008) were taken during the seasons 2005-2007.
Kungliga Djurgårdsförvaltning
Kungliga Djurgårdsförvaltning is an older term for the area which includes North and South Djurgården, Haga and Ulriksdal in Stockholm. It is today the world's first national city park.
Employed during the seasons 2009 at Djurgården and 2010 at Ulriksdal, my tasks were: care and maintenance of land surfaces, grass and hedge cutting, weeding, pruning of trees and shrubs, spring and autumn cleaning, maintenance of perennials, planting and care of annuals, watering flower beds, sheep husbandry (Ulriksdal).
The Polaroid photographs presented in the photo book Djurgården, in the King's Park (Carlsson, Stockholm 2013) were taken during the season 2009.
Södertälje Kyrkogårdsförvaltning
Södertälje Kyrkogårdsförvaltning is responsible for the operation and maintenance of cemeteries in the parish of Södertälje.
Employed during the seasons 2013-2016, my tasks were: care and maintenance of land surfaces, grass and hedge cutting, weeding, pruning of trees and shrubs, spring and autumn cleaning, maintenance of perennials, planting and care of annuals, watering flower beds.
In addition I was responsible for the maintenance of shrubbery areas, and for the maintenance of grave plantings on behalf of holders of burial rights.

Gröna Lund
Gröna Lund is Stockholm's tivoli park, and I worked there during one season (2018).
My tasks were: care and maintenance of land surfaces, grass and hedge cutting, weeding, pruning of trees and shrubs, spring and autumn cleaning, maintenance of perennials, planting and care of annuals, watering flower beds.
I carried during the season a wooden pinhole panorama camera; the photographs are presented in the photo book Gröna Lund (LDP, Järna 2022).
Ytterjärna Trädgårdspark
The garden is located outside the town of Järna (28 milles south of Stockholm) in the Södermanland region. I have worked here since the beginning of 2019 and my tasks are: care and maintenance of land surfaces, grass and hedge cutting (especialy the fir hedge), weeding, pruning of trees and shrubs, spring and autumn cleaning, maintenance of perennials and the two rose-gardens, planting and care of annuals, watering flower beds, maintenance of the ponds and water stairs. Also maintenance of common areas during the winter season (snow ploughing, salting of gravel driveways, etc).
I also carry out carpentry work, such as the repair and construction of benches and tables, the production of new signs (names of fruit trees, park trees and rose bushes), and the maintenance of signs relating to the hiking trails running through the park. I also designed and built a grey-painted outdoor table with an integrated chessboard, and two matching benches (one black and one white).
I manage the Park's IG account (@tradgardsparkenytterjarna) and recently updated the map of Kulturcentrum Järna (a return to my original training as a geographer and cartographer, using Illustrator).
In 2023, I began designing a brochure on the park's rose garden; writing the text (history and description of the rose garden and roses), photographing the roses and rose bushes, choosing iconographic material, drawing a detailed map of the site, etc.
A similar brochure presenting the fruit trees is also in preparation.
Finally, together with a colleague, I give tours of the park for groups of visitors, in conjunction with Kulturcentrum Järna.
I regularly take photographs in the park, and they are part of a new, long-term project. You can see a few of them here.
